Due to circumstances outwith the control of the Inquiry, public hearings scheduled to begin on Wednesday 6 October have been postponed.
Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry Publishes Sixth Case Study Findings
Lady Smith has today, Wednesday 29 September, published her findings into the Scottish Government’s response between August 2002 and December 2014 to Petition PE535, and other key issues raised by adult survivors of childhood abuse experienced in care in Scotland.
Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry public hearings to resume
The Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry will recommence hearings examining the abuse of children in Boarding Schools on Wednesday 6 October.
Inquiry publishes fifth Case Study
The Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry has today, Wednesday 11 August, published Lady Smith’s findings into residential care institutions run by the Benedictine monks of Fort Augustus Abbey between 1948 and 1991.
