Interim workers must take 31 days off to adhere to the requirement of working 230 days within a year. This includes public holidays.

Leave and work days
For the current financial year, the following information applies:
- Total days off - 31 days
- Total work days - 230 days
These figures are pro-rata calculated for staff who work less than 5 days/35 hours per week.
Public holidays
There are six public holidays that must be taken as part of the year:
- Good Friday
- Easter Monday
- Christmas Day
- Boxing Day
- New Year's Day
- 2nd January (Scottish holiday)
This leaves 25 days (pro-rata) to be taken throughout the year, with the agreement of your manager.
Uncontracted days year
The uncontracted days year runs from 1 April to 31 March, aligning with the financial year reporting.
